Are all Juicers and blenders the same?

Juicing, blending and nutrient extraction – aren’t they all the same?  Don’t they all just pulverize the food to make you a nutritious drink?  The answer isn’t simple, and all three are very different.

When juicing, the machine extracts the juice from the food, where the majority of the nutrients are, leaving behind the pulp. When blending, there is no left-over pulp. Blenders pulverize the whole product to make a smoothie. If the machine is not removing the pulp, it is not juicing.  It is blending.  So, why is this important?

When you juice, you are removing the fiber.  Fiber slows down the absorption of nutrients, and some nutrients remain in the fiber. When you juice, you are extracting up to 70% of the nutrition right into your glass, and without the fiber your body will absorb 100% of these nutrients. When you juice only, you tend to lose weight more rapidly than on a smoothie diet.

So wouldn’t it be great to have something that extracts the nutrients from food while still keeping the fiber from the pulp, seeds and skins, all while making the fiber easy for your body to absorb?  There is.  It is called Nutrient Extracting by Nutribullet!

So then what is Nutrient Extracting? Nutrient Extraction breaks down food to their most absorbable state, breaking down the cell walls to release vitamins and minerals.  They then take it a step further by reducing the fiber to a point where it is easily digestible and absorbable.  So you are getting the most amount of  nutrition from your food.

Pro: Removes the fiber (the pulp and skin) so the nutrients are readily absorbed in the body.  Almost 90% of the nutrients are absorbed by your body. This method will give you the fastest weight loss results and best nutrient absorption of the three options.

Con: You don’t receive any of the beneficial fiber, which keeps your digestive tract healthy and slows down the absorption of sugar. Fiber also helps you to feel full.

Pro: Keeps all the nutrients of the food and also the fiber in your drink.   They make excellent Margarita’s!

Con: The nutrients are not as absorbable with the pulp and skin still in the drink.

Nutrient Extracting/ NutriBullet

Pro: Breaks down the food in such a way so that it is the most absorbable way for your body to absorb the most nutrients. Fiber, pulp, seeds and skins remain in the drink, but are reduced to an easily digestible, absorbable form that gives you the highest form of nutrition that your food has to offer. The inclusion of fiber will make you feel full longer than juice alone.

Con: Produces a thicker drink because of the fiber.  Your body absorbs fewer nutrients than with the juicing method.
